When I'm running a media player, pauses it and locks the screen, the
screensaver locks but never switches off the screen.
The computer must be restarted to make the screensaver to be able to
switch off the screen again.

Now-a-days I use SSD-drives. They are much faster than HDDs. Although,
if I run Virtualbox or dd it takes several seconds to unlock the

Thanks for the reply but my issue seems to have been resolved now either
way; I just noticed that there were some "system updates" available from
inside Software and I installed those and rebooted. I can now install
.deb files without problems. Great!

I am unable to duplicate this bug with gnome-software 3.24.1 in Ubuntu
17.10 Alpha.
The bug is still present in Ubuntu 17.04 although it feels to me like
it's closer to working than it was with earlier versions.

The burning itself is fast, takes a couple minutes, but the image checksum
takes about 20 minutes.

Hello,
I still cannot install .deb packages in Software under Ubuntu 17.04,
even after enabling zesty-proposed and updating and restarting my
computer this morning. I also tried installing gconf2 as suggested by
other posts in this topic. I tested trying to install the .deb package

#28 & #29 did the trick for me as well after a small hiccup.
To get the ./autogen.sh script working for libimobiledevice, I first
needed to install libusbmuxd.
$ cd ~/path/to/my/build/dir
$ https://github.com/libimobiledevice/libusbmuxd.git
$ cd libusbmuxd
$ ./autogen.sh
$ make
$ sudo
