What about delay of switching layout? For example, I use caps lock for
switching. If type quickly than some symbols can be in uppercase.

Hi Artur, I just tried PhpStorm with the PPA installed and it seems to
work for me (tested ru and gr). What keyboard shortcuts are you trying?
Also, can you try to "restart unity-settings-daemon" after installing
the PPA to see if that helps?

It is really 100% reproduceable.
I have tried to remove ppa with ppa-purge utility, and hotkeys starts work in
latin layout, but stops in non-latin (RU) layout.
Then I hev tried to add ppa again, and situation became inverted: latin layout
- no hotkeys, ru layout - working hotkeys.

I want to underline that my comment was not *at all* a critic to
developers. There is something pesky going on with keyboards, and
difficult to spot (although I suspect some kind of bad interaction
between {unity,gnome}-control-settings and ibus). The monster bug

Public bug reported:
I set the mouse orientation to "left-handed" and it works fine. But
after reboot, mouse reverts to "right-handed" despite the fact that
System Settings still shows it set to "left-handed". Clicking on "right-
handed" setting then back to "left-handed" fixes it.

I also think the the importance should be set to high as I have to reset
the keyboard layout on a daily basis.

I already have a prototype that solves the use case mentioned in this

Apparently upstream also has code that fixes the same issue and covers
more use cases. It doesn't seem like a small amount of code though. For
