All I know is that on the lastest Mint it does the same as before: In order
burn ap a DVD I have to reboot. In some cases I can burn 2 DVDs by opening
Brasero from the right click file menu, and then reboot if I want more to burn
more.

If you double click on any media file twice quickly, a music file for
example(totem is the default app obviously), totem will open two blank
windows and hang instead of processing both calls consecutively.

I agree with this change, but I have feeling it wouldn't be backwards
compatible.
Would it be possible to check if terminal is real tty (so it's real user
and not pipes used by UNIX scripts) and use --no-universe by default if
it is piped into other process?
