I have the exact same issue on a System 76 pangolin laptop. Issue occurs
even without connecting to external monitor. Laptop does not suspend on
lid close. I doubt it is gnome issue - It happens on a pure KDE (kubuntu

Checked with i386 live usb. Added upnp-inspector, totem-plugin-extras
and coherence. Results to the same like in full installed i386 and

Default lubuntu oneiric installation contains this package and there is
pam_gnome_keyring in /etc/pam.d/lxdm, so, that's not the case. But your
words remind me to look into /var/log/auth.log, and that's what I see

HP DV6385EA thanks to Kate Stewart's suggestion at comment #8:

Good to know that it can only be a configuration problem. It would be
better to know which config file/folder is faulty. I'll try to determine

PC automatically restarts
Hi,
I'm using an HP laptop dv6385ea and its mouse touchpad doesn't work once I
login with my password. It suddenly works if I login as a "Guest Session". It
works before logging into my personal account with my personal password.
