The Gnome vs. Unity stuff is pretty confusing. Today Natty abruptly
logged me off while I was browsing the internet. When I logged back in,
I noticed that my sound indicator was gone. I ended up in Synaptic
trying to get it back and after adding a few Gnome things to get it

I was playing around with MAPI setup and had successfully connected to
an exchange server, and also had a previous IMAP account working. I
decided to disable the MAPI for now and come back to using it later.

This work around works for me when the bug hits: Use Ctrl-Alt-F1 to get
a text login prompt and login as the same user that you were using with
Unity/Gnome. Use top to find the process number of the screensaver

when i try to connect via nautilus to a public ftp share the connection
gets reseted.. dmesg shows this line:
gvfsd-ftp[10890] general protection ip:104ef25 sp:b765230c erro
It affects all the steps in the first setup, not only the email address
step. If you hover the mouse over the fields or you press Alt, the
fields appear again.

Since the ubunutu-docs team has changed the approach for Ubuntu Help
Center docs (including the yelp default home page) for natty to one
based on gnome 3 mallard topics modified and amended to fit natty, I
wonder whether this bug is still valid (I doubt it).
Matthew East, can you please comment?
Sorry. I can't get the current Natty beta to install in version 3.2 of
VirtualBox, which is the one I use on 10.04. I have no way to test. I'd
love to help but I can't afford to spend more time on it.

Really? No response to this problem? I have evo running on 10.10 32bit
ubuntu laptop connecting to the SAME google account without problems.
This bug is making it difficult to use evo since the (2/4) dialog boxes
stop everything.
