screensaver every 15 minutes (with the default "X" image) even when I
have Gnome set to 2 hours and "blank screen" type. This is the

Personally I'm quite disappointed this is not the default. I think it's
a great idea, that subtly tells people about Ubuntu. It's easy, and
always was, to turn off for those that like to hide their light under a
bushell. For the rest of us, and I suspect most of the people who
thought it a good ide
I agree. My point was that this isn't a usual bug where someone finds a
problem and then resources need to be brought onto the problem to identify and
resolve it. This is a case where the usual processes were bypassed to do
something that at best hadn't been fully considered.

I tried a walkthrough I found elsewhere online:
* On Windows, plug in the Shuffle.
* Open iTunes, and reset the device to its factory settings.
* Name the device.
* Disconnect
* Try again.
It still crashes, with the same information.

Since the follow on change was directed by the same Canonical manager
that directed the original change, I think claiming this bug pointed any
technical issues to anyone is stretching things.
