Figured out the problem.
If you install Adobe Reader 9.2 and have it set as default for opening
PDFs, it causes nautilus to hang in the documents folder, for some
unknown reason.
I switched back to the document viewer, and this switch eliminated the
problem.

I just noticed for me the other applets are also running slow. For
example I have Tomboy Notes and when I opened the Manage Notes window I
noticed that it's menus were acting slow too. Therefore I think all

On the rare occassion for some reason when gvfs needs to write/copy a
file to a Samba share it gives the error 'Success' but the file is never
actually written. This has happened to me and a colleague a couple
PS I ran the exact same setup under Jaunty with no problems. When I
upgraded, I had to change from the proprietary ATI driver to the open
source one (xserver-xorg-video-ati). So perhaps this is a conflict
between the new driver and gnome when running under dual monitors?

I am terribly sorry but I cannot reproduce the problem with a fresh
installation of Karmic under KDE or GNome. I loaded a few PDF files
followed by nearly a thousand PDFs ranging in size from a few kilobytes
to 20MB in 30 sub-folders. If I can reproduce the problem then I am
more than happy to

Unfortunately, the file you tested is not the same as the one comming in
off the stream. As the upstream bug says, you need to take the actual
stream and play it in VLC to objectively veryfy this bug.

Evan_martins workaround worked for me. I'm using opera 10.10. I've
changed all my shortcuts from "opera" to "GDK_NATIVE_WINDOWS=1 opera"

plugin in upstream (Gnome) rhythmbox sources, but no longer in the
coherence plugin's SVN, where this seems to have been fixed, along with
many other formats. as can be seen in :

I also could not agree more. I can't count the number of times I've
typed in filenames only to find that I'm searching instead of actually
entering a file name. This is a fundamental flaw in GUI logic. If one
does a Save As..., the most common next action is to enter the new file
name.

lid and use an external monitor. But if you have an external keyboard and

its original directory (the throbber is always turning and never finished).

According to Audio CD Red Book Standard no more than 99 Tracks (resp.
indices) are allowed. When trying to burn more it just hangs without any
