picture, and all other jpgs are not found. I don't have google earth
loaded, so it's unlikely related to the other bug suggested in #4.

Same issue here on Karmic beta.
It makes little sense to display launchers for filesystems if nothing
happens when you click on them. It's confusing and nonpractical,
specially for the novel user.
Even if asking for a password is unfriendly itself, its better than do

The fact that gdm is dying for some reason is one thing. probably missing X
drivers (nvidia) or something like that.
But the fact that upstart doesn't have limit on number of times it re spawns a
process is really bad, becase it makes it impossible to debug unless you ssh in

Okay, I may have lost it when I changed the system to keep time with
Internet servers from the default manual mode. Setting it back to manual

For some reason, after a reboot, no window manager would load on
startup. Every time I would have to open a terminal, use the metacity
--replace command, then compiz. The only workaround I've found is to add
compiz to the startup applications.

@Apteryx - Just for next time, know that "Triaged" status is better than
"Confirmed" status as some developers only pay attention to bugs which
have been completely triaged.
Can someone who has bug control permissions set this back to Triaged.

opening movies makes them look blueish due to the fact that nvidia settings
have HUE set to -1000
the user can manually fix that, by setting to zero, but the next time a movie
is opened it will re-set to -1000

Actually, I cannot give you a screen shot because the problem has to do with

Intel 8150E chipset integrated video. That is, with the integrated video,
trying to
use the Synaptics Package Manager results in the screen freeze as indicated in
the problem description, and (obviously) no screen
