I noticed a podcast that wouldn't download correctly in Rhythmbox. They
appear different, but each one was the exact same episode! I thought it
was a problem at the server-side, but then I opened the feed in Firefox
and found that Firefox could download the different episodes.

Even with the gconf values on
/desktop/gnome/interface/buttons_have_icons and
/desktop/gnome/interface/menus_have_icons set to false, you will see
that editing menus
In that case we have a bigger issue (inconsistency in behavior) because
certain applications come back up (the ones I mentioned) and certain do
not (all other apps that ship with the distribution).

I noticed
My system monitor window won't close either. I always install latest
updates but it still is open. It isn't really causing any problems
except I have noticed gmail running slower than usual.

I just finished installing today's updates and am no seeing a slightly
different issue. When I unplug the AC cord, the laptop immediately
notices that the battery is discharging. However, the battery capacity
hangs at 100% for a while. Then it'll drop down to about 94% remaining.

Confirmed since the latest shared-mime-info update in karmic.
Every single file is identified as text/plain.
