Could this fix be sent to Intrepid? I just observed the issue here, with
gvfsd-http consuming 100 MB of memory 12 hours after copying a 60ish MB
file over HTTP. Not expected behaviour, but responsible for quite a
loss.

When I upgraded my 8.10 to jaunty in console it happened that gdm was
restarted - without keyboard support, so I could not switch back to
console or login.
I was able to escape by choosing with the mouse to the XDM Chooser,
which restarted the Xorg Server

Hmm, ctrl-shift-insert does indeed paste the data from "xclip -selection
clipboard", but this is not the correct behavior.
As I understand it, ctrl-shift-insert should paste from the "primary"
buffer. The same buffer that selected text goes to, and that middle
clicking pastes from.
