"Print to PDF" in GNOME has nothing to do with CUPS and Ghostscript.
GNOME does not send any thing to CUPS but it generates the PDF by
itself. So an update of libgnomeprint, libcairo, or libgtk has most
probably introduced the fix.
Note that PDFs once generated are broken, re-rendering with evince
Confirming that this behavior happens with my Dell 1420n laptop and
Ubuntu Jaunty / x86 [in development].
Steps to reproduce:
1) Close the lid

drivers) and navigated to the folder (32 bit ubuntu) and it did NOT
crash. Ran updates and just accepted all of them. Navigated to the

This seems to have been fixed now. I can 'print' a PDF (for example this
page) and select text, then paste it into Gedit and the text is pasted
correctly.
Unfortunately I'm not positive when it was fixed: the only updates that
seems might have effected it are the following, which I upgraded on Jan
Kubuntu 8.10 with KDE 4.2beta2 (4.1.85)
Not icon for ogv files in Dolphin. If I change the extension to ogg, the
correct icon appear.

I have the Darklooks theme installed and I have it selected but whenever

I have to say that a downgrade of g-p-m was only enough to re-enable
the brightness panel applet. But when moving the cursor up and down
the brightness does not change.

I'm sorry, I don't have time to test with jaunty right now. And I do not
have a public example either. But could perhaps take some kind of logs,
if that would help.
However, the user name in this case contains special characters. Could
that cause problems?

Print preview shows November month instead.
Till November or from 2010 Jan it works OK, prob experienced with December
month only.
Reprod:
1) Choose calendar
2) choose monthly view
3) go to 2009 December
4) select File / Print Preview -> it
This bug has been around for a long time and is really annoying... any
chance of fixing it? I use Skype and my Plantronics USB headset as my
main telephone, and I've got to deal with this constantly.
While we're at it, there are some other features that would be great to have
