Yes, it worked fine when I sent it to a friend who is also using
Evolution.
However, the acceptance from that friend wasn't possible for me to see

I noticed recently on my Hardy system that gnome-screensaver locks the
screen properly except for the panels at the top and bottom of the
screen. Generally the panels are inoperative while the screen is locked
