James fix released is fine but when the last comment is over 6 months
ago without being updated its invalid because noone tells anyone when
its been fix and i was never able to reproduce this. Also bug was was
reported on 1.5. 1.5 is no longer supported , I suggest people update

Dominique: Thanks, that seems to confirm the assumption that GIO
propagates the free/size info although it is not meaningful.
Maybe somebody who actually uses ncpfs could test the patch I attached
against the glib package? It should fix the issue. If it works, we can
push it upstream.

Yes, and it doesn't work with VLC, as mentioned yesterday. Steps to reproduce:
- Install VLC if not installed
- Run VLC
- Click File->Open File
- Shares mounted with gvfs do not appear on the sidebar of the open file

I recently upgraded my system from ubuntu 7.10 to 8.04.
I have it installed on ext3. I also have a fat32 partition.
When I try to move something that is in the fat32 to the trash, nautilus says

Ok, I've figured out what the problem is. There appear to be two kinds
of Flags.
There is the 'Flagged' column which appears by default in Ubuntu.
Clicking in here next to a message makes an orange exclamation emblem

Ross, GVFS supports exposing the gvfs mounts to non-gio applications
using fuse. gvfs-fuse-daemon will mount your network connections as
local file systems. Did you give it a try ?
