And here's a little additional backtrace for you. During this backtrace
I can't even get nautilus to respond, not even to open a browser window,
when initiating the backtrace. As soon as I attach the PID, I can't get
nautilus to do anything. I initiate the final steps of the backtrace and
quit gdb.
I've been having the same kind of issues but with folders containing
audio clips. I have seen no ill effects when browsing folders with video
files. After some initial trial and error learning how to perform a
backtrace, the one for Nautilus I have attached here. Hope it helps. I
don't know enough

I have upgraded from Gutsy to Hardy Alpha4 (386 architecture). My
problem is that every time I login to GNOME I have to add the alternate
keyboard layout (Arabic) in order to be able to use it.
The default keyboard layout (USA) is there and I can use it without
havin

I'm not sure what you mean by Nautilus accessing the archive. A program
instance running as normal user cannot write to directories owned by
root, to which it does not have write access.

I went ahead and did it but this is a different version of Evolution.
It's now just super slow. I opened up another but because I don't see
the RAM usage like before.

Sorry, I found the cause of the problem, I didn't replaced the "gutsy"
in "deb http://ddebs.ubuntu.com gutsy main universe" with a "hardy".
But now how can I get a gdb backtrace if the program is not crashing. It
simply stalls without any output.
Instead of a backtrace, I have run it under strace

The Alpha 4 version of Evolution-exchange is seriously broken. Not only
does it take about 5 minutes to load, it takes another 5 to update the
folder it is on, and then it usually can't read the new e-mail anyway
(lost connection).
