I think that the typing breaks feature in Gnome should allow the user to
set up micropauses and typing breaks.

tab for Syntax Highlighting as it does in Feisty. While the
"Fonts&Colours" tab now has "Color Schemes", there does not appear to be
any way to remap color preferences for Synt

I'd just like to confirm that on my system disabling the SyncToVblank
option in compiz solved my problem. I am now able to switch users
without any problems. I suspect there are two bugs in play here that
give similar symptoms as mine was definitely a compiz problem.

Both with the default setup of a top and bottom panel, or as I have it
set up now with just the bottom panel a little larger, when I login the
panel does not appear until I click the mouse.

I did a fresh install with the Gutsy Beta 64 bits desktop CD.
When running gedit I get the following error:

I am using Gutsy, with Metacity version 2.20.0. I did a second test in a
virtual machine with Gutsy, which also did not show the problem. As this
problem is solved in the development version, I will mark this as fix rele

Same problem here (with an AMD64 and a dua-core dell laptop)
On the AMD64 I get the sources of the last stable (2.0.11) and compile them :
it seems to work (but I wanted to call the laptop… and my girlfriend don’t want
me to mess her laptop with compiled things :o) — she’s wright !)
