I would like to suggest that Ubuntu compiles Gnome with a way to allow
us to remove that arrow overlapping the Main Menu applet via the Gnome
Configuration Editor.
This arrow is a bug in Gnome that does not allow removal without
modifying the Gnome source and removing the arr
it only happens when i suspend using the powerbutton on my laptop.

used the "Text position" combobox in rhythmbox preferences window. So i noticed

To reproduce it, all I need to do is play ANY mp3 either by doubleclicking it

I can also confirm this happens on a RDC connection to a windows server.
I am using Feisty Herd 4. This isn't a show stopper - just ugly and if
easily fixed it should be. We don't error aestetics deterring new
potential Linux users.

I did debug logs with GST_DEBUG values from 2 to 5. I post here the logs
with GST_DEBUG=2 and GST_DEBUG=3 but I upload on a ftp the logs with
GST_DEBUG=4 and GST_DEBUG=5 because the filesizes are 84 and 187 Mo. I
will repost here when I'll have the urls of theses logs.

should do and what they are doing. How do you notice the bug? Feisty is
not open on rosetta yet and translations are not distributed with the
package, which means than the translation you are changing will only be
update with lan
It works, but there is no subtitle.

replaces fglrx with ati to xorg.conf. Do they work if you don't use xgl
and beryl with flgrx? The beryl package doesn't come from ubuntu and
it's bug are not worked on launchpad. What happens with
suspend/hibernate? Do they work from gdm?

I have updated my system.
version of GNOME VFS is now 2.16.1-0ubuntu7.
I ran gnome-screenshot 20 times in gdb (with ALT-TABing, as decribed in
my message dated 2007-02-07 20:09:38) and the problem still exists:

Anytime you plug a usb mass storage media to you box a small pop-up appears
suggesting to ignore images on the medium or to import them. Choosing ignore
works perfectly ;-).
But choosing "import" open to gthumb with the new medium openend. This is nice
for displaying images

actually - sorry to say. i have this problem still and im on feisty.
after every resume from suspend the logout dialog is active and i have to
cancel. frequently im also told that suspend failed but thats a different bug i
guess. if this is hardware related im on acer 1640. maybe i should start

In Preferences, under the general tab there is a combobox which sets the
toolbar label position.
But "Testo sotto le icone" put the labels beside icons - not below. "Testo
accanto alle icone" put the labels under the icons.

Sorry, i don't have a backtrace and it looks like i can't reproduce the crash
either. Oh yeah - and it was a crash. Can i generate a backtrace out of the
crash file?
Since i can't reproduce the bug i won't be able to get a backtrace otherwise.

Rhythmbox hangs when it can'
I have the same problem with Feisty. When logging in shutdown button and
volume icon can appear in random places in the panel. So at shut down,
it could be that you have volume, clock then shutdown button, but upon
logging in you might have shutdown button, volume, clock. All the icons

I just came here searching for the relevant bug after getting tired of
the constant warnings that Gaim crashed (when in fact it doesn't crash
