I just downloaded the source packages for the Feisty "2.10.6-0ubuntu4"
version of GTK+ and compiled them on Edgy. I've relaunched Evince and

Okay, several applications including alternative browsers seem to be
dependent on Firefox. I figure this has more to do with XUL and Gecko so
these components should be split up into libgecko and libxul

please file a bug if you can to debian BTS, asking to move dia.desktop from
dia-gome to the dia-common package so both dia and dia=gnome have it installed.
The change will have to be done in debian anyway as it involves adding
Replaces: entries in the control file

I think this was missclassified as a bug. It seems to be working ok. I am
still getting an error but the calendar events are now showing up. To get

Binary package hint: gnome-screensaver
The password dialog box hangs on "Checking" never to return. I have to switch
to tty1 and killall gnome-screensaver.
I don't see anything in any logs, unless i'm looking in the wrong
place
It does happen with the "next" button.

the imap server I use is very busy and connections time out and this
causes evolution to consume 100% cpu (or whatever it can get) making my
1.8ghz t42p unresponsive until it finally decides the connection is dead
and restarts it.

A patch is now upstream, and can be easily modified to work with the
version in feisty (s_getDeviceResolution already exists there, so the
patch fails). However, it needs some work to get it into a reasonable
state, as I don't know enough C++ - the display needs to be opened

I have a patch for this which compiles in the CVS of abiword, but the
version not only aborts in feisty, but also locks up the system
(probably X) to the point of complete inoperability when run under gdb.
I will try with the version in feisty - my guess is that CVS version has
some problems.
