As you can see, there is a duplicate for each entry. I have fstab as

triggered by some GNOME functionality which may or may not be supported
in Ubuntu but is configured by Mandriva by default. (We switched
recently and mostly kept our home directories intact.)

I think I found the problem:
If I start KDE apps like Kontact under Gnome - the keyboard focus gets
lost in the systray where I have the KAlarm and KMail icons docked to
systray.
If I quit KAlarm and KMail I can navigate through the panel with the
keyboard without problems.

mv mime bu-mime
Try to open an existing .png and it fails
Right-click/properties/ and choose something other than Image Viewer.
It then opens. Repeat and set back to Image Viewer. It works.
The same works for .jpg and .ogg.

I moved both files to my Desktop. I rebooted and the problem remains.
I also logged in as another user and did not have the problem opening a
.png. So, it is definitely something with my user.

As per another bug I've reported (sorry, don't have the number), I get a
Nautilus window titled "Windows Network: 192.168.0.2 on 192.168.0.2"
with no contents. There is no indication of what I have done wrong in
the Connect dialog, and 192.168.0.2 is now listed as a mounted server
even though it do

could you get a backtrace of evolution and evolution-data-server (with the
evolution-dbg and evolution-data-server-dbg packages installed) next time you
get the issue?

That might be a bug fixed now then. If you or something else get the
issue again or figure what to do we might be able to do something about
it, but without any other information than the window manager respecting
an user setting to gconf there is not a lot to do

Does it make any difference? Bugs are not always triaged to the right
order, especially when they are reported on the wrong package. Marking
duplicates other way if you prefer

Thanks for your bug. What version of the evolution package do you use?
Did you activate any option to get the text written to that box? On my
edgy installation the entry is blank by default or when picking an
option
