Guillaume, the packaging is current. The actual library and what you link to is
libname.so.sonumber, the .so is just used for the build and so it's shipped
with the -dev (that's true for any library), your fix is wrong

the bug? That bug was about fontconfig not picking the right Symbol font which
has been fixed. There is no cupsys bug described. I've read mdz comment and I
would say there is no cupsys issue and the bug is to close.

Yes, I do have those versions of cupsys and hplip-ppds. I'm now able to
"manually" configure my printer (as before). It still doesn't recognize the
printer, as Breezy did, though.

In fact the bug is in the enchant package.
/usr/lib/libenchant.so is in libenchant-dev and not libenchant1c2a.
So, if libenchant-dev isn't installed, libsexy can't open
/usr/lib/libenchant.so and spellchecking is not working.

I can reproduce this bug.
To reproduce:
1. Open gnome-terminal in fully maximized mode.
2. Type in either firefox or firefox &
3. Observe how you can see a white screen for a fraction of a second. If you
try hard enough, you can also see the title bar that read "Mozilla Firefox".

I certainly can't reproduce this with the latest version of Nautilus on Dapper.
Since there has been no response to Sebastien's request for info for over 4
months, I am closing this bug as "Rejected". Should any of the original

Isn't the right fix to fix scrolling on laptops, then?
I mean, there are a lots of places where you'll get similar issues. We
shouldn't disable scrolling everywhere except for texts just because of this.

Maybe I was not clear. Is there a reason for beagle to not make a simple disk
indexation too (updatedb like) for that usecase? It would allow to have the
beagle magic and no feature regression neither
