Our log archival script is scheduled for a few days (5) afterwards to zip up

Prices went up a few months ago. I don't believe it's still $30/month, or
if they still offer monthly subscriptions. Best bet is to contact them.
Pete would probably work with you on it.

No, they changed their prices a few months
ago. It used to be $325/yr or $30/month, now it's $495/yr. They
don't have a monthly listed on the website that I could find, but they may still
allow monthly subscriptions.

You should note that this doesn't just catch image
spam, but all email with images. So, the weight should be extremely low,
if used at all, due to the large % of false positives seen by this
filter.

You're making an assumption that everyone uses

We don't use Commtouch, and do not intend to
license it. However, we do not have trouble with image spam leaking
through our system (still on Declude 1.82, though we do have a valid license and
SA for 4.x). Across all hosted domains we get on average two or
three leakage reports a week. O
I really don't adjust weights or create new filters
very often, just when there's an outbreak that needs special attention.
Sniffer is definitely our best tool for catching these. Occasionally some
slips through, but Pete's pretty quick on the draw to add rules to handle
them. Even with w
For most of us, the cost of CommTouch with the
Declude Gateway puts email hosting in the red. That's not good
business for us or Declude. Thus, not an option...
But nevermind that, Sniffer is better than
CommTouch, and there's an awful lot of overlap between the
two.
