Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
startx does not start the window manager in debian/testing. It boots to the
default background image and then hangs. Same sign when starting System Session
through GDM.
Selecting GNOME or KDE session through GDM though works fine
Package: xlibs
Version: 4.2.1-7
Severity: normal
I was in KDE durcing the upgrade, and in KDE, suddenly every program reported:
Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
After quitting KDE, X would restart and exit immediately due to an kdm failure:
XFree86 Version 4.2.1.1 (Debian 4.2.1-7 20
Package: xserver-xfree86
Version: 4.3.0-2
Severity: normal
Followup-For: Bug #169308
I installed xserver-xfree86 4.3.0-2 and this problem no longer seems to occur.
You can probably close this bug now.
