Actually, I think this is a bug in kernel KMS, not in intel graphics driver:

I tried to start X using latest xserver-xorg-video

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=DRI&component=DRM/Intel
and attach the Xorg log and xrandr output as you did here, and dmesg
when booting with the drm.debug=6 kernel command line parameter to get
some more output. Let us know the

Previous version of Intel drivers (from unstable, 2.9) was completely
unusable on my laptop (Thinkpad T60 with Intel 945GM/GMS). 2.11 works
ok for 2 or 3 days, with few succesfull suspend/resume cycles, then
screen becomes
Today ma screen froze again, but this time it was all black. As previously, I
could switch to text console and restart X but screen remained black.
