Hay all.
I've just upgraded to the XFree86 4.0.1 phase 2v6. I stripped out my
3.3.6 installation first and fetched everything ok with apt-get and
dselect.
However, when running most games, and KDE (version 2 beta4), the
application will refuse to start, giving an error message:
error in loading

and am sorry if this has been covered before and/or is annoying
people, but...!
I've installed XFree 4v26 and it seemed ok - no error messages etc;
I use an Nvidia TNT2 M64 card, and got the kernel module and the
GLX files

I have exactly the same problem, but with version 2:1.6.2-1 as well as
version 2:1.6.1.901-2. Have just spent an hour or so forcing downgrades
to 1.4, but at least I have X working again now.

This bug is bogus. It's actually caused by the recent breakage in dbus:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=537125
Upgrading to a fixed version of dbus, and suddenly everything works
again. At least for me.
