Hi Harald,
you need to reconfigure the pkg xserver-common
do an dpkg-reconfigure xserver-common and select 'anybody'. This did the
job for me. Be aware, it means anybody can start the xserver!

Hi folks,
I have trouble compiling the nvidia kernel driver with the latest linux
kernel 2.4-final on i386. I modified as suggested ealier in december on
this list, nvtypes.h to include the macros:

#define mem_map_inc_count(p) atomic_inc(&(p->count))
#define mem_map_dec_count(p) a
Hi,
I got the same trouble with the Debian session.
I fixed it by realizing that /etc/gdm/Sessions/Debian should not exec
/etc/X11/Xsession. Instead it should source /etc/X11/Xsession. I figured
this out be looking through the xdm session scripts.
I did not send a bug report to the gdm maintaine
Hi,
although I did not check your packages, I am verry happy to see this. It
makes rebuilding my kernel setup a lot easier. Nice job.
It would be nice if you inform this list when you packages provide
libGlu and depend on xlibosmesa.
Thanks

Hi,
I am using Debian unstable with the nvidia-kernel-src and
nvidia-glx-src packages. When I used a gl app, often X crashes after
or while closing such apps (most often GL apps hang when I try to
close them). On my console I see a message as follows:
NV0: still have vm que at nv_close(): 0x4001
Hi again,
I checked my kernel carefully and figured out that I had enabled the
AGPGART stuff. This is not needed, since nvidia provides its own
kernel module for accessing the AGP bus. Now anything works almost fine,
after a clean recompile.
