I made a fluxbox-dbg and installed xserver-xorg-code-dbg,
then installed the problematic xserver, ran
startx /usr/bin/xterm
and got an x

Silly me, of course

Hi
The last update broke X on my sparc -- I get (as you can see below)
an error about AIGLX, but this is spurious, if I uncomment the
"AIGLX false" serverflag then the I get the same behaviour (startx
gives a flash of grey, then exits) b
Hi Julian
Thanks for the amazingly fast response!
Sounds like X starts up properly but your session exits. Anything

startx /usr/bin/fluxbox
fails as usual
startx /usr/bin/blackbox
works just fine. I tried some stracing but there
Hi Brice
Before I reassign to fluxbox, please try
startx /usr/bin/xterm
then run fluxbox from the xterm in there and tell us what happens. If
the problem is only fluxbox related, you should get your X and xterm
back after fluxbox exited on startup.
Looks like it is: fluxbox fails to start w
