and I am not aware of any unofficial X.Org packages. Even then, X is a
critical piece of software so I would think twice before jumping onto
some untested package. I mentioned Hoary because if I upgraded to it,
the X upgrade problem would be solved and I would be using
n my tests).
Indeed, I switched to an unanimated cursor theme as a workaround, and
the problem seems to have gone away. I owe you one!
