When dragging windows around in gnome 2.4 audio
applications momentarily stop playing.
Renicing the x server to 0 solves the problem completely. I suspect
this has to do with the new scheduling policies in kernel 2.6 making the

general character substitution mechanism for this kind of problem.

the nearest character to a hyphen present in the font it was instructed
to use.

this issue for long as I only switched to a UTF-8 locale a couple of
weeks ago. For the most part, this hasn't caused major problems, and
I'm interested in getting the minor niggles such as this one fixed up.

guess. No package in Debian makes use of the pidfile option, but users
may have custom xinitrc's and whatnot that do use it.

The "interpret" action available to the translations resource does not
do anything. It is meant to insert text into the input buffer as though
the user typed that text.
