switch intel to radeon

Well, I have a Dell Inspiron 15R SE and it has an Intel GPU and Radeon HD 7730M. Gnome shows that it is using Intel GPU and when I try to switch for Radeon with vgaswitcheroo, both GPUs stay ON but not change to Radeon. How can I fix it?

Thanks, that explains a lot. It's still a rough edge which needs work. This package is installed by default, so it could bother anybody: xorg/xserver-xorg/xserver-xorg-input-all/xserver-xorg-input-joystick ... so a new user plugging a joystick or controller into a computer is a recipe for a lost
