Just a note that this bug still exists in 1.5.0-1. Xlibint.h now has all the
necessary #includes, but the package still doesn't depend on x11proto-core-dev
>= 7.0.17 as Lionel suggested.
I had to manually upgrade x11proto-core-dev to

fixup u6.2
This upload was rejected, and I didn't mean to push the change to git.
The battery on the machine in question was faulty and replacing it seems
to have resolved this bug. I still don't understand how it was causing
the behaviour I saw, nor why it seemed to be (semi-)repeatable. Thank
you all for your help and patience.
