The driver doesn't start:
$ lsmod|grep nv
So the monitor resolution is 800x600 instead of 1680x1050.
N.B.: last week there was no problem.
I attach my old xorg.conf that worked in Lenny: I tried it, but I obtained

A quick 'n' dirty workaround until the above patch is applied is to
symlink empty_cursor.xbm to /, where ev_calibrate seems to be looking
for it.
$ sudo ln -s /usr/share/xf86-input-evtouch/empty_cursor.xbm /empty_cursor.xbm

Sorry, I think the driver is up, and problem is the monitor recognition
(see my old xorg-conf).

The issue at the heart of this bug report is that X essentially
supports two mechanisms for dealing with modifier keys on the keyboard.
The first of these mechanisms, as handled by the xmodmap 'add',

With the advent of the ISO_Level3_Shift modifier the xmodmap manpage is
out of date. The following patch fixes the problem:

+++ xmodmap.1 2009-11-19 16:02:26.0

xserver-xorg-core, pulling in the whole xorg dependency mess up to and
including hal, and I refuse to accept that.
