Bug#497523: xserver-xorg-input-synaptic: tapping is not recognized as button
pressed
Bug#523581: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics: Stops working after upgrading
xserver-xorg-core to version 2:1.6.0-1
Bug#513875: xserver-xorg
I accidently found a more reasonable workaround for this. Adding the
option "NoDri" to xorg.conf fixes the display corruption problem. No
need for multiple starts.

Hi,
2D continues to work well only with locally compiled 2.6.30 kernels, but
not with ones from Debian repository (2.6.29, 2.6.30) regardless of the
firmware-linux package.
No 2D:
2.6.29 from repositories, with/without firmware-linux

This is a horrible bug that I see on my 855GM (Thinkpad X40), forcing
me to use 2.6.26 instead.
It might be a good idea for the kernel team to see this because they
might be able to cherry pick the patch?

Hi,
CONFIG_X86_PAT is not set my 2.6.30 (that's my best knowledge; I looked
at .config file in the build directory made by kpkg). Adding nopat boot
option has no effect with neither local 2.6.30-rc3, nor 2.6.30-rc5 from
repository.

I was told on IRC today that this bug is fixed when using UXA,
xserver-xorg-video-intel 2.7.99.1-1 (experimental), and
linux-image2.6.30~rc5-1~experimental.1~snapshot.13592 (buildserver.net
repo). I have not had a chance to confirm this yet.

I have the same problem with current (11.05.2009) Debian Sid. My xserver
just hangs after restarting dbus, It is realy annoying bug, because some
updates installed via apt-get upgrade has to restart d-bus, so I have to
do apt-get upgrade from console with killed Xorg.
