Package: xserver-xorg
Version: 1:7.2-5
Severity: important
Xorg was working with the VESA driver @ 800x600 res with 24 bit colour. After
an upgrade the server stopped loading. The VGA driver still works.
If any specific information/logs will be useful then I can provide them.
Thanks,

Package: compiz
Version: 0.2.2-1
Severity: normal
when compiz is started on a system running xfce, the number of
workspaces will forced to one. even after compiz is stopped, there is
still only one workspace. it should be expected that compiz would not
alter xfce's number of workspaces.
thanks
i don't think that window resize is actually slow, but rather that the
window is resized to the previous location where the cursor was
stopped, not at the current cursor location.
so here's how to observe what i'm talking about:
1. grab the right or left edge of a window
2. move the cursor to
Package: compiz
Version: 0.2.2-1
Severity: important
when compiz is running, fullscreen opengl games become unplayable.
instead of the game rendering, there is just a completely black screen.
when compiz is not running, the game works just fine.
to test this out, start up openarena and set it on
note this bug may perhaps be related to bug #415227
(http://bugs.debian.org/415227), black screen when screensaver
activates. this is more general though because the problem affects
all fullscreen opengl applications.

I filed this upstream before noticing the Debian bugs about
it. Apparently he has fixes in the upstream git.
