Hi FJP, sorry for my version missmatch. Of course I upgraded from sarge to etch. mea culpa. Both machines with BPO Packages, 1 machine with xorg-xserver and 1 with xfree-xserver. The one with xorg-xserver upgraded X without any problem, the other one showed the mentioned troubles. Cheers! --
