Can't get X running on my laptop:
ASUS A3FP with Intel 945GM chipset.
I selected the "i810" driver - which is supposed to support the 945GM
chipset - but X doesn't recognize it.
Installed Debian 3.1r2 sarge three days ago, downloading ever
Hi all,
I've been doing some patch auditing for the additional patches I used for
building the xorg-server currently in experimental. I first checked which ones
have already been applied upstream in git, and which have not. If patches
haven't been applied upstream, I've tried taking a closer look

Of course they could. But that would be perpetuating a kludge.
dead_horn and dead_ogonek were chosen by the original Greek

I did not know that. That explains a lot.

Well, as long as it's fixed, it's fine! :)

Can you please send your XKB settings in your xorg.conf?

As line 94 in /etc/X11/Xsession is commented out, no logging information
about Xsession is reported.
If it was commented out to prevent .xsession-errors file size to grow
about some limit, I suggest ulimit -f.

This is a 'simultaneous bug' in xkb-data and libx11-data.
In /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/gr, the keys generating the Classical Greek
'breathing' signs are defined as follows

I'm really puzzled now.
xfree86.org/4.3.0/Status.html->Intel says nothing about i945GM, but I'm
sure I surfed some pages telling me that it now does (pc-magazin.de?).
Maybe I've been mixing things up - another XFree-version - Debian
XFree86 is not the XFree86 of XFree86.org - and intel.com stat
