I am running Woody 3.0 r1. on a Dell Dimension XPS Pro 200n.
The desktop runs fine, but after some idled time
I am getting the following error from the XFree86:

I've upgraded two machines (same HW) from woody to sarge,
X server won't start anymore. Same config as in woody, in both
cases the stock sarge kernel, tried also the 2.4.26 sarge kernel.

The DPI can also be set using the DisplaySize parameter in XF86Config-4.
Although this seems to be semantically equivalent to the -dpi option
(none of my computers auto-detect it, so I can't tell if auto-detection
overrides DisplaySize, but it seems unlikely), it would be 1) easier for
