Known issue with the sis driver contained in Debian's release of 4.3.
The bug was fixed on June 26, 2003 while Debian uses the driver snapshot
from June 21, 2003. Tough luck.
Workaround: Go to my website and download a newer driver. Until this is
fixed in Debian, you can use my inofficial ap

After updating kernel 2.6.5-1-686 from version 2.6.5-2 to 2.6.5-3, my laptop
gets locked as soon as X is started upon boot. I get just a blank screen,
keyboard does not respond, and all I can do is to turn the power off. It

program in gnome-2.6, I'm upgrading from experimental. Maybe it was the
keyboard applet. Unfortunately I don't recall which update solved the

I switched monitors and the behavior changed a little.
Instead of oscilating between off and on states it now
