Hello,
Is there somewhere the 4.3.0-pre1v1 source package are available while
they are waiting in the new queue ? I wish to build them, and try to
work on providing the driver SDK this weekend.
I tried building the today nightly snapshots, but they failed with the
hunk 1 of the 003_linux.cf_and_x
I get the following error, but the file complained about is a link. The
complete error follows:
# ls -l /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/app-defaults
total 28
-rw-r--r--1 root root28633 Nov 22 2000 XMcd
lrwxrwxrwx1 root root 21 Aug 7 13:12 app-defaults ->
/etc/X11/app-defaul
I am in sarge, with a s3 savage 3d card.
I have the same flicker problem with debian package.
I found out that XFree86 4.3.0 official (unpatched) binaries, which
include savage driver version 1.1.20 work well.
I can even start X with Debian driver (flickering), then change
savage_drv.o from debi

You do realize that pre1v1 is in experimental, yea?

I think the bug #117913 still exists, at least I see the same symptoms.
When agpgart and mga kernel modules are loaded, I can not exit an
xdm-managed session properly.

I'm using the unofficial 4.3 xlibmesa-gl libs now, so I can't check
it, but if someone has verified that it works, the bug can be closed.

When trying to insert my personal modmap, I stumbled on the following
problem (xfree 4.3 from ds4): X suddenly took 100% of CPU (even tough
top indicated only 50%), and after a while the computer became totally
non-reactive (for a while, the server kept on moving the mouse).
I am competent enough

Hi,

I have configured Debian X 4.2.1 packages on a group of machines here
such that two mice are configured - one on /dev/psaux, and one on
/dev/input/mice, both configured as ImPS/2 and with core events. This
worked fine when either port did not have a mouse connect
