an apt-get upgrade. i changed no hardware and cant explain what i might have
done wrong. knoppix 3.1 boots and starts an x session without any problem.

working, which is an xlibmesa3-gl bug submitted too many times already.
It's probably related to gcc 3.x and thus will happen with any Radeon

variable TMPDIR. I'm guessing that it does this to close a security hole, but
