I recently switched to the en_US.UTF-8 locale. In
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/locale, I see the compose maps for the various
character sets, however there isnt one for en_US.UTF-8. As far as I can
tell, this locale uses the compose map from iso8859-1 (though I couldnt
figure out how/why).

I just had the Linux on my laptop crash for the first time
in many many months.
I am running the latest unstable on this box which gets
updated every day. The machine had an uptime of about 5 days.
Now I can't get the xserver up and running again and I am
somehow stumped with the er

I'm trying out the 4.2.0-pre1v1 xserver-xfree86 on i386. I have a
3DLabs Oxygen VX1-1600SW video card (which uses the glint driver)
hooked up to an SGI flat panel. Without the following patch (taken
from xfree86 CVS), every so often my display will turn funky colors,
or video output will die alt
