Could people apply the following patch and tell me if things continue to work properly for them? Especially Emacs users. Having separate alt and meta keys appears to be popular with no one, hence this change. If you want alt and meta on different keys, leave the file as-is. Thanks! --- /etc/X1

i'm running woody on an Ultra 1 200e with a Creator3D card and XFree86 4.1.0.1. the box is running a vger kernel compiled from today's (06 oct) sources, and the following occurs with 2.2.19 as well. starting X fails with the following error: (II) LoadModule: "ramdac" (II) Loading /usr/X11
