Meta with XFree86 4.0.2 on potato

2001-02-27 Thread Sven Gaerner
Hi, I upgraded my XFree System to 4.0.2 on potato. Now I'm missing the Meta on my Win95 keyboard. Under 3.3.6 the Windows-Key was the Meta key in emacs. Now this does not work. Does someone have an idea how to solve. I'm using the us_intl keymap and have nodeadkeys enabled. Thanks. Sven --

BYOX (Build Your Own X) - again

2001-02-27 Thread Stuart Ballard
I've just joined this list, but I see a few times in the archives that people have tried to build their own X debs. These threads seem to peter out without any resolution most of the time. I'm in the same situation as others who want to do this - a couple of bugs/features are in the latest 4.0.99.
