more info about this. i just killed xscreenserver from the console again,
except this time x crashed. the line 'SetGrabKeysState - disabled' appears when
the screensaver starts.

i just installed the 6.8.99.901.dfsg.1-1 packages built by Sven Luther
for powerpc, that are now reaching experimental.
after xscreensaver starts, if i try to type in my password to unlock the
