Dear X maintainers,
I think that during the upgrade of xorg-server to version 1.14.5, the graphic
terminals switched from terminfo "application mode" to "cursor mode" (I'm not
sure of the terminology).
I noticed this because my zsh configuration (using zpresto) partially stopped
working. The u

I have the same results as Andrea.
Compiling the drm and radeon modules as described there :
http://wiki.x.org/wiki/radeonhd:r6xx_r7xx_branch
solves the problem both with radeon and radeonhd drivers.
I've also tested Ubuntu Jaunty beta, and the problem is not there. Thus, they
have either patc

Downgrading to testing xserver makes the problem disappear and the /proc/mtrr
revert to:

Hi Brice,
I
The problem happens also when playing movies (vlc). In fact, Xorg is cpu-angry
unless it displays static content (which is climate change unfriendly).

It worked in Sid until the today update. Since the update, I've only "cleaned"
the xorg.conf to match Xorg auto-config
Package: xserver-xorg-core
Version: 2:1.6.0-1
Severity: normal
Good evening (UTC+0200),
With Xorg 7.4 hitting Sid today, I experience this problem: moving windows
has become "jerky" (sorry, I'm not sure it's the good term - in French it would
be "saccadé" - I mean the reverse of smooth or fluid)
Good evening (GMT+1),
I have the same problem with a French keymap, but the problem is only with GDM
and "inside" GDM.
Although X.org is configured to use fr keymap, on the GDM screen the keymap is
set to qwerty. But after login in, the keymap is correct (at least with KDE 4
and GNOME). KDM ha

Hi Alex,
Your changes actually fix the problem. Thanks.

Hi Michel,
git-bisect is a handy tool! :-)

Hi the Debian X Strike Force,
I've been trying the experimental packages on my ibook and I noticed that the
16_s390_fix.diff makes xorg-xserver fail to build on my machine.
v 1:1.1.1-2 was building.
v 2:1.1.1-4 was not
v 2:1.1.1-4 without 16_s390_fix.diff was.

Building from the subversion source on powerpc (ibook) gives this :
diff MANIFEST.powerpc MANIFEST.powerpc.new

I removed the libxft-dev package: /usr/X11R6/include/X11/Xft/Xft.h is
still here and belong to no package (dpkg -S). I deleted this file and
re-installed libxft-dev, everything worked fine.
