My x server does not start if I boot the kernel with the
vga=795 or vga=791 option. However, X works if I use no
boot option concerning the VGA-Display

When I start xorg in the highest resolution configured by the automatic
setup which is 1280x1024 I get a distorted display (vertical stripes).
Using the next lower resolution (1152x864) fixes this issue.

using "dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg" I could not select the desired monitor
resolution. 1280x1024 will be sel

I run Windowmaker and KDM on my Sun Ultra 1 Creator 3d. Startup works fine. I
can login
using KDM. After finishing Windowmaker, the X-Server terminates and crashes on
restart
(see attached log).

I got a laptop with ATI Radeon 7500 Mobility. Since XFree fron Woody
does not support this card I use XFree's VESA-Driver. Works quite okay
until I issue any dmps command e.g.

which immediatly crashes
