I just finish a fresh reinstall of my system... after installing compiz, I
tried the classical 'compiz --replace' but I got an error about a 'ccp plugin'
it couldn't load.
The problem was immediately solved once I
.conf and the X.14 kernel with the
newest xserver...

I think I run into this same problem... I upgraded the kernel from
2.6.12 to 2.6.14 maybe one hour after upgrading the xserver, so I was
able to have a working xserver for a little bit, which hinted me to

Hi!,
I use gnome for my user's default session, but I also have KDE
installed for my wife.
The problem is that now (since friday 05/07/04), I cannot login
into my gnome session. It inmediately defaults to KDE.
