Machine is an AlphaStation. X worked in etch, but doesn't work in
lenny or current sid. It fails with the following output:
Markers: (--) probed, (**) from config file, (==) default setting,
(++) from command
After finding this in the Xorg.0.log:
Option "xkb_options" "lv3:ralt_switch,compose:lwin,grp:alt_shift_toggle"
It occurred to me to try clearing out the xkbd options with "setxkbmap
-option", which seemed to do the right thing.
So, the question is, where is the default xkb_options options getting

The nv driver is needed to drive the GeForce2 card in my G4 Cube, but
it's not available in woody's xserver-xfree86 package. It seems the
YellowDog supports the nv driver on PPC, so it must be available. Will
it not be in the packages in woody?

OK, I've got Branden's patch integrated into wdm to allow it to use the
debconf "registry" for choosing display managers. I have tested the
installation, though I can't yet test the de-installation very well
since no other display managers yet register the
default-x-display-manager option, so wdm
