I'm running XFree 4.3 from SID with the FGLRX drivers from ATI.
My OpenGL is working *very* well. Obviously a non-tainted kernel would
be preferable, but framerate is God.
Would xlibmesa-dri provide (1) additional, (2) alternate, or (3)
orthogonal functionality?

Last summer there was a priority=low debconf question to nice -10 the X
server. It appears to be gone.
I ask because in "top" XFree86 seems to be one of the top programs.
Where did it go and do I want it?
Several months back there was a Debconf question adjusting the Nice
value of X, but I haven't seen it lately.
Should I expect SID's X with ATI's propritary drivers with a Radeon 9700
to use (a) low resources relative to a big compile job in an X-terminal
or (b) moderate resources.
