For what it's worth: If I run sway/wayland, the bug doesn't
happen.

The calcomp_drv.o tablet driver as a timeout setting that is too short.
This way, it can't detect a HP A4356A tablet.
The Author of calcomp_drv.o knows of this problem and can surely
supply a patch...
