Empty area displayed instead of image - imlib or Xserver problems?

reproduce this on two sets of machines. Maybe someone on this list has any ideas? I'm moderately fluent in C, can use GDB, and I'm willing to spend a few hours investigating this, but don't know much about how imlib works internally.. -- Marcin Owsiany <[EMAIL PROTECTED]
