On my Thinkpad X200t running unstable, I'm still seeing this bug,
after updating today and restarting X.
I have no xorg.conf file.

I have to use the fbdev driver in order to get the X server to start -- the
siliconmotion driver appears to segfault. I have also tried different NoAccel
and UseFBDev settings, but got the same result.

With many apologies, this bug can be closed. It turns out my laptop had
a bad inverter. Since replacing it, everything has been fine.
